The door of opportunity swings on the hinges of prayer! All real success comes when God opens the door for us, but we must take our requests to Him in prayer.
Jesus tells us in Matthew 7:7, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” The door will be opened, but the first step is prayer. And once Jesus opens that door, no one can shut it on you!
Nehemiah wanted to take action, but he waited for God to open the door. He learned a valuable lesson about leadership: In order to lead, you must first follow. Nehemiah followed God by asking Him to help him go back to Jerusalem to rebuild the city wall. And then God opened the door for him to lead the effort to do just that!
Remember, it won’t do you any good to break down a door and rush through it if God does not open it. So commit your way to God today and then watch for the doors He opens.
GOD WILL OPEN DOORS THAT NO ONE CAN SHUT WHEN YOU SEEK HIS DIRECTION.
