“What are these feeble Jews doing? Will they restore it for themselves? Will they sacrifice? Will they finish up in a day? Will they revive the stones out of the heaps of rubbish, and burned ones at that?” Nehemiah 4:2
It’s not unusual for someone who attempts to achieve great things for the Kingdom of God to be ridiculed and mocked for their efforts. Nehemiah certainly was.
Nehemiah and those who worked with him to rebuild the walls of Jeruslem were scorned and made fun of when they began their work. They were called feeble and weak, but they continued on, knowing that the Lord was greater than any opposition or ridicule they endured.
In the same way, you will be mocked and maligned when you take a stand for Christ in this world. Whether you are an adult or student, not joining in with the world will make you a target for criticism. The world will see you as feeble”¦weak”¦and not “with it.”
Regardless, I challenge you to make the decision today to stand strong! Don’t give in to their jeers and criticism. If you will stand strong, God will give you the strength you need to endure.
THE LORD IS GREATER THAN ANY OPPOSITION OR RIDICULE YOU WILL EVER ENDURE.
