“Be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world.” Philippians 2:15
In the verse above, Paul encourages us as Christians to live pure lives in a polluted world. To live a life that is blameless””not sinless””because no one can do that this side of heaven.
Being blameless means being real, authentic, genuine”¦not saying one thing and then doing another.
Paul says to be real, to be blameless, to be pure. Being pure means having “inexperience with evil.” A believer should have a certain naiveté of the world.
In today’s society, do you ever wonder how you can do this? Is it an unrealistic expectation?
Well, it’s not unrealistic when you remember that it is God who is working inside you to maintain a pure heart, mind, and lifestyle. You can’t do it, but He can!
By walking a straight path in a crooked world, others will see that your faith is real. And it’s that kind of faith”¦that muscular Christianity”¦that is both courageous and contagious.
So I encourage you to be genuine, to be real, so that your life will draw others to Him!
BY WALKING A STRAIGHT PATH IN A CROOKED WORLD, OTHERS WILL SEE THAT YOUR FAITH IS REAL.
