“Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.”1 John 2:3
In America, we live in a country where the majority of churches have either plateaued, are dying, or they’re already dead! And the reason so many churches are declining is their pews are filled with semi- or non-committed believers.
I want to ask you today, are you truly committed to Christ? Does He have 100% of your life?
You know, our commitment to Christ is similar to our commitment to our spouse. No one would honestly say to their husband or wife, “You know, honey, I love you so much that I’m going to commit to staying 98 percent faithful to you in our marriage.”
But how many of us say the same thing to the Lord each day in how we live our lives?
So many Christians today pick and choose which commandments of the Lord they want to obey. But true commitment to the Lord is complete and total or it’s none at all!
Remember what 1 John 2:3 says: “Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.” Not just some of His commandments, but all of them!
Today, I want to challenge you to show the world your commitment to Christ by obeying God in your thought life”¦in the way you react to your spouse and children”¦in your business affairs”¦in your finances”¦in every part of your life.
2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”I challenge you to live fully committed to Christ in that newness of life today!
TRUE COMMITMENT TO THE LORD IS COMPLETE AND TOTAL OR IT’S NONE AT ALL.
